GIZ EPIS

Supporting SME policy implementation, SME Forum strengthening, women entrepreneurship, CEFE-based training and coaching systems, finance-readiness pathways, and engagement with banks and stakeholders in Southwest State and Jubaland. The work links policy, enterprise support, financial institutions, and practical follow-up.

Supporting finance-readiness pathways, stakeholder engagement, blended finance-related approaches, and investment-linked models connecting SMEs and value chain actors with financial institutions, investors, buyers, and enterprise support systems.

Contributing to the design of agribusiness interventions for job creation across selected value chains, including practical linkages among SMEs, producer groups, markets, service providers, and financing opportunities.

Reviewing green recovery initiatives for women-led tourism enterprises, including sustainability, renewable energy integration, market linkages, and implications for future program design.

Research and advisory work on industrial innovation, digital transformation, private sector development, and economic transformation, including the links among firms, skills, policy, technology, and investment.

South Asia

IFC South Asia Enterprise Development Facility

Leadership of a US$45 million multi-donor advisory program covering Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, and Northeast India, focused on SME development, access to finance, investment climate, value chains, and enterprise support systems.

South Africa and East Africa

GIZ

Advisory support on SME policy, enterprise development systems, women entrepreneurship, institutional capacity building, and performance tracking.

Earlier career highlights

  1. IFC South Asia Enterprise Development Facility

    Led a US$45 million multi-donor advisory program covering Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, and Northeast India. The program focused on SME development, access to finance, investment climate, agribusiness, light manufacturing, garments, business development services, and market-led enterprise support. Managed a multidisciplinary team of approximately 60 international, regional, and national professionals.

  2. World Bank Group and IFC — Advisory Quality and Delivery Systems

    Supported operational teams on program design, client engagement, implementation readiness, project-cycle learning, and delivery effectiveness. Designed and supported learning and advisory programs for more than 600 IFC staff globally.

  3. GIZ — Africa and Asia

    Advised on SME policy, institutional support systems, women entrepreneurship, value chains, BDS, CEFE, and entrepreneurship development, including long-term work in South Africa, Kenya, Nepal, and other countries.

  4. Swisscontact — Bangladesh and International Support

    Led market-led business development services programming for SMEs and service providers and supported the shift from direct subsidy models toward commercially oriented enterprise services and value chain support.
